These hierarchical names are employed in the Ogdoadic Tradition as representative of the forces of the Archetypal Images in the realm of Briah. They are termed by us “Archons” (Greek plural form: ἄρχοντες), and are cognate to the “Archangels” found in Rosicrucian systems. These Archons represent the manifest images of the unmanifest Archetypes of Atziluth and thus, in one sense, are the highest representatives of a given force that the Ruach of Man can comprehend in its initial state.
